American Walnut Library

A once dull, derivative room, transformed into a room within a room.

American walnut takes centre stage throughout, each panel cut and set with its own grain on show, quietly concealing storage and hidden cupboards behind. The proportions borrow from Robert Adam and the discipline of eighteenth century panelled interiors, where craft and utility always held equal weight.

Glazed shelving rises in a steady rhythm, forming a colonnade that pulls the eye up toward a vaulted ceiling. Above it, a frieze of individually designed panels runs the length of the room, each one different, all part of the same language.

More than a library. A crafted environment where modern life sits comfortably inside historic reference, and an ordinary room becomes something worth pausing in.

Bespoke. Designed and made for the space.
